DEALING WITH THE FACT THAT YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD GO TO THE GYM, BUT ITS TOO DAMN COLD IS ROUGH!
Some of our tribe members know exactly what I’m talking about..
The times when you wake up or finish work and you say to yourself “I should go to get some training in” then its immediately conflicted by the other voice “But it’ll be much warmer at home watching some Netflix or staying in bed” right??…
We know those feelings all too well..
What we also know is that many of you reading this will be thinking, ” I know I should go to the gym, but I don’t” and this is cool too.
We are going to give you some help.
I want to ask you a Question, answer it honestly – Why is it that some people stay on the gain train, always look great, always are showing results and forever experiencing growth?
It’s not because they are “freaks” or have the “It” factor, it’s because they’re the ones that stay consistent in their pursuit of health. Winter months do not exist in their perspective, yes, there is a shift in focus from season to season (as we are naturally in tune with these changes) but there is always some form of movement & training involved year round.
Skill training, Movement patterning, games, interaction are some of the things we focus on in these periods that keep our members growing, but not feeling like you gotta slug it out like you would on a warm summers evening. It is in these periods where our members make the most growth, why? Well everyone loves going hard and getting a sweat on in spring and summer.. but what feels easy in the summer, ain’t easy in the winter. Yes going for your PB is important, but when you are in hibernation mode, that’s going feel like a whole lotta grind you ain’t got the mojo for. By focusing on weaker areas and refining your capabilities you will be more prepared, more robust and more able to deal with the growth capacity that you have now unlocked from training this way.
So realistically if you stay on track with your training in winter, your summer gains are going to be epic. If you are wanting that summer bod, or those summer feels, now is the time to get started. You will be ahead of your journey to reach your goals.. You’ve won the hard part…
